Field collection made by Lowell Lybarger in Pakistan. The collection includes 55 commercial CDs of folk, instrumental, ghazal, and classical music from the publisher Shalimar Recordings of Islamabad, Pakistan; 27 commercial and 132 privately made video recordings of concerts, conferences, television and radio programs, interviews, demonstrations and lessons, which take place primarily in Pakistan, and also in India, Afghanistan, the United States and Canada; Lybarger's PhD thesis on tabla players of Pakistani Panjab; 25 books in Urdu on topics relating to culture and music; several manuscripts, treatises, and theses on Pakistani and Hindustani music and other topics; and 1 folder of ephemera including concert and festival programs, newspaper clippings of interviews with musicians and articles about music, musicians and events.
